HOW DARK CAN WINDOW TINT BE IN MALAYSIA?

Darkness of tint is measured by Visible Light Transmission percentage (VLT%). In MALAYSIA, this percentage refer to percentage of visible light allowed in through the combination of film and the window.

Tint is allowed along the top of the windshield , not exceding 20% of th size of the windshield.

Front Side Windows
Must allow more than 70% of light in.

Side Windows
Must allow more than 50% of light in.

Rear Window
Must allow more than 50% of light in.

CAUTION: Tinted windows must comply with JPJ laws (Malaysia local transportation Dept). Dark tinting may reduce visibility outside during poor lighting conditions. Use care to avoid accidents.
